Another busy week for Android – so much so that we struggled to narrow it down to just five top stories. We had Clash Royale-likes coming out of the woodwork, an Android exclusive, and pre-registrations for a ton of upcoming exciting games.

If you’re anything like us though, you probably had a busy week and couldn’t find the time to keep on top of all of the happenings. No worries! That’s what we’re here for.

So ease into the weekend with this round-up of the top five stories on DroidGamers this week.

NOVA Legacy launched as an Android exclusive

NOVA is Gameloft’s long-running shooter franchise that tries to emulate Halo on mobile. We’ll leave it up to you to decide how successful it’s been at that.

Last week, Gameloft launched the original a remaster of the original NOVA with fancy new visuals, a reworked UI, and a tidied up plot. If that wasn’t good enough, it’s also an Android exclusive – for now.

Royal Dungeon launched, putting pressure on Breath of the Wild

Okay, before you you head over to the comments in a fit of rage, I’d like to point out that the headline is a joke.

However, Royal Dungeon is a fun little dungeon crawling puzzler that emulates the early Zeldas in its appearance and sound. 8bit and chiptune music, anyone?

It doesn’t play like Zelda though. It’s a puzzler that challenges you to help a king and queen escape from a dungeon by swiping – with them both moving in opposite directions with each swipe. Challenging stuff.

No Man’s Sky-like Morphite was announced for a spring release

Crescent Moon’s No Man’s Sky and Metroid Prime-like shooter, Morphite, was announced for a spring release. Given that the sun’s just started peaking out, we’d guess that we don’t have much longer to wait.

Shooting aliens, exploring procedurally generated worlds, and gathering resources – Morphite‘s got the lot.

Ubisoft becomes the latest dev to go for a piece of Clash Royale’s pie

It seems like everyone’s trying to dethrone Clash Royale in the multiplayer kingdom right now, doesn’t it? Ubisoft is the latest (closely followed by Gameloft) with a novel idea based on the Tom Clancy series.

You play as a sniper, providing overwatch to your squad. It plays like Clash Royale, except you can blow the head off enemy units that really annoy you.

Planescape Torment gets announced for an Android release out of nowhere

Wrapping this up is the awesome news that Black Isle’s classic RPG Planescape Torment is getting a Beamdog enhancement – and it’s coming to Android.

And the best part is that you don’t even have to wait very long – it’s launching on April 11th.

Did you catch any big Android news we missed this week? Hurl abuse at us in the comments and we’ll try and add it in tomorrow’s round-up.
